Final Conference: “Stand, Landscape, Continent – European Forests for Multiple Benefits at Multiple Scales”
ALTERFOR organized a two days digital conference to present and discuss the findings from ALTEFOR and their implications for the environment, economy, society and national and EU policies on 10-11 September 2020. Instead of a real excursion in the Augsburg Western Forests, we invited the conference participants to join a virtual tour guided by local case coordinator Peter Biber(Technical University Munich). Thanks to smart technical solutions, the participants could interact with the speakers and discussed intensively alternative forest management models, and their consequences in terms of production, protection, and climate change mitigation at different levels; and the opportunities to implement them.
